Description:

A fine pair of French Louis XV period, carved, beechwood fauteuils with cane seats stamped, “Cressonlaine”.

The Cresson family remained faithful to the Regence style decoration. Their chairs are remarkable for the vigor of their carvings, always in strong relief. They often used Rococo motifs combined with Régence decoration.
